1/22: Hudson Hotel

Tonight we did it up at the Hudson Hotel for Sakiya's event(Co Writer for Kanyes "Thank You and You're Welcome" and "Thinking Like an Entrepreneur Changed My Life" tour, and his most recent book "A Book of Questions With One Answer"). Special invite only, we were lucky to get in on the action. The atmosphere felt so so so right. Good people, good food($18 dollar burgers and such lol) good conversation and a few good games of Pool. Couldn't ask for more..
The first thing you see when you walk in is the escalator. I was blown away by the neon lighting. Had to take a few pictures to satisfy myself, lol. The crazy thing about this is.. you would never think that it was like this, like... right in the lobby. It's hidden pretty well. Definitely took me by surprise.
This is a pretty cool shot. Don't you all agree?
Ok, so Sakiya had a little "Birthday magic" going on. He was sweeping everyone off the table for about 4-6 games (when we got there. no telling how many he played before we showed up lol) Nell isn't that much into pool i guess, lol, he was more concerned with his Burger. I had to force him to come watch me play.
I told everyone that i had next and i was gonna win the game and thats EXACTLY what i did(no shame in your game Sakiya) lol. I was the 4th person to play, mind you i haven't played pool in about a year. I was a little rusty but not so much to the point where all my skills were gone. The game we played was probably the best one of the night. I was real real low key but when the stick was placed in my hand it suddenly became all eyes on me. I played the hero tonight, ending his winning streak. I didn't win in a fair way though. He was on the 8 ball, called the side pocket but scratched lol. I let people know one way or the other i was gonna take the W. Haha, rematch maybe? guess we'll have to wait and see.
Stay tuned for the footage..
